BI Query Report Requests

BI Query contains hundreds of reports covering a wide range of subjects. However, if you need a report that isn't covered by one of the existing reports, you can make a request for a new report or a change to a pre-existing report.

Producing a new BI Query report is a two way process between the person requesting the report, and the Analysis team's report developer. You will need to be clear in what you require, and submit a detailed request to the report Analysis team. The report developer will then produce the report and release it for User Acceptance Testing by the report requestor.

How to request changes to an existing report.

To request changes to an existing report, please fill in the Report Change Request form and return it as an email attachment to the Information and Analysis team at sa-analysis@salford.ac.uk.

How to request a new report

To request a new report, please fill in the New Report Request form and return it as an email attachment to the Information and Analysis team at sa-analysis@salford.ac.uk.

Note: Major changes to existing reports should be treated as a New Report Request. If you are in doubt then please fill in a New Report Request form.

What happens next?

Once received by the Information and Analysis team, all requests will have an initial assessment. For further information on the assessment, please read the Report Request Procedure. Before the report is released, you will need to test it to make sure it produces the correct information. For further information on testing, please read our guidelines on BI Query User Acceptance Testing.
